Its been a pretty rainy week here in Galway (what's new?), but the weather broke this morning. Lucky for me, I was going on a hike into Connemara with a couple of friends. We headed about 40 minutes into the country and did the hike at Máméan. There's an old church at the start and it is said that St Patrick slept at this spot for a few nights on his travels. The hike went steeply up over the top of the peak and brought us down along a waterfall and back to the road. 3 hours of great exercise and training for next weekend... we're climbing Croaghpatrick in Westport.
